Kikyo is fatally wonded, but before she dies, she shoots an arrow through InuYasha to seal him into a sacred tree. InuYasha remains on that tree until Kagome Higurashi, Kikyo’s reincarnation, pulls out the arrow and frees him and there it started the adventure of Inuyasha and Kagome.
